Amazing food and a good vibe. Nice menu with a mix of classics and unique take on many dishes your rarely see in the more average aisian restaurants Check it out of you can.
I never leave reviews but this place was just soo damn good. Starting with the staff they are soo friendly and sweet. The restaurant is very clean and has a nice relaxed feel. Now the food. I had kundan kaliyaan and the flavours were fantastic. The lamb was soft and flavourful too. I couldn't help myself and dipped in to my partner's chicken biryani which was the best I've tasted. Even the peshwari naan was soo good. Hidden gem for Consett.
We had a slightly surreal Sunday lunch here. One of our party wanted to have lunch out, but not Sunday lunch. He found this place, quite the find. I used to work near Consett 30 years ago, it wasn't the greatest area back then and it still isn't the best driving through it. So the journey in is a little sad, but once you're inside this place, it's really a bit of a find. The surreal side of the meal was having a whole restaurant to ourselves. A shame in one sense, but getting served was definitely not a problem! Service was perfect. This choice of three styles of food, Indian probably being the lead one, is fantastic. That food was lovely in presentation and taste. Clearly we had to wait next to no time to have it served as well. We all really liked what we ordered. We'll definitely be returning to this places. Who knows, when's there's possibly more than just us in there. I would imagine the atmosphere would be great then.
Absolutely delicious food and great atmosphere. Love our nights out here. The food is always perfect. 5*
Great find in consett. Extremely personable and welcoming staff who gave recommendations for each person based on their preferences. The food was absolutely delicious. I particularly loved the Indian railway lamb curry; both for the taste and for the presentation in a golden cloche! I havent had such tasty momos since being in Nepal so having them as a starter was a real treat and my father raved about his lamb chops starter. We have already made a further reservation for another birthday
