After really thundery afternoon called at 8.30 pm on the off chance. The place was almost deserted with only 2 other couples present. Admittedly it was a Monday evening. Pleasant table outside in walled area - little noisy with the main road running alongside. Service was first rate no rush but efficient in that French way. What Kaitlin Cassin doesn't like about restaurant Paul Itier:
Four of us had Dinner. The restaurant is clean, modern and tidy but flatters to deceive. We were very disapointed with the food. The fish (Rouget) we had tasted of plastic and had horrible taste. The veal was hard and tasteless. The fillet steak was tiny for 21 Euros. The Moule marinieres was ok as was the Goats cheese.. Most of the meals could not be finished - just gave up..On the positive side, the waitress was fr... View all feedback.
This pleasant restaurant serves good food. The menu provides a choice of serveral set menus in addition to individual items. We opted for the duck and entrecôte. The Pomme frites were great

Pleasant table outside in walled area - little noisy with the main road running alongside. Service was first rate no rush but efficient in that French way. We chose the a la carte with wonderful starters , my tuna was extremely nice. I had the entrecôte which was a little disappointing - tasted really good but was a little tough and only served with chips - as in France . My wife's scallops were well presented and with a rich sauce were excellent. The average price rose was "ok"
This is a place that delivers and for a reasonable cost. We had gone last nights to an awful and expensive place and had to change the taste of failure and foolishness. Found this place on TA and made a reservation. The food is very very good . Great? No. Very good and honestly prepared and served? Yes absolutely. The menu is pretty fixed. It's in a laminated binder. But they have it down and do it right. The duck was grand the fish as well. Just a really good substantial non fussy no BS place . Praise The Lord.
Pail Itier has really stepped it up in the last year. Feb 14 dinner was innovative and delicious. Set menu, chef's choice, prepared and served with great care. Langoustine, whole bar (stuffed on the dorsal, no less) and a trio of dessert delights. We've changed our minds about PI.Keep it up!
Reasonably priced menu with all the food well presented. There had been a change in ownership since a prior visit 2 years ago. The restaurant was now a lot more appealing as It had been modernised to a high standard
