Max's is authentically Filipino food that was delivered to our table hot and fresh. Saturday night was quite popular for the restaurant but we were seated fairly quickly. If you want an inexpensive trip to Manila, go to Max's. While some of the staff seemed like they were wandering around, this didn't take away from the quality of food that we ate. Authentic drinks like Filipino beer and coconut water with coconut in... View all feedback.
What Mary M doesn't like about Max's Restaurant:
A group of friends and I went to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately, the restaurant did not make any effort to make the celebrant feel special. The portions of food were very small and extremely overpriced. Despite there being three of us, it seemed as though the servings were only suitable for one person. This will definitely be my last visit to this restaurant. View all feedback.
Just had my first Philippine food. Thanks to a kind man on the next table who recommend beef-sisigi with fried garlic rice, we sampled this “advanced” dish, and were amazed by this richness of flavour. A beginning of a new friendship with this interesting cuisine. Server was nice and friendly.
We like this restaurant for good Philippine food. I have been to a Max's in Manila and enjoyed while on vacationing in the Philippines . We were happy to see the food is as close to the same as we enjoyed in Manila. They are will known for the crispy chicken.
Came here for dinner with family. We were able to get table for 5 with no problem on a Saturday night. Service is good even if busy. We ordered the chicken, lechon kawali, chop suey, pancit palabok, garlic rice. Rice was awesome. Veggies had too much msg. Palabok was ok, same with chicken. Lechon was good but could use more of the liver sauce on the side. We finished with halo halo which is very good here. We come here as there aren’t too many Filipino sit down restaurants in the area.
The fried chicken is incredible. Very crispy skin, with very juicy chicken inside. Perfection in chicken. Lots of meat on the 1/4 chicken I had. The vegetable side dish was just as impressive. Flavourful, perfectly cooked, lots of food, and nicely served in an edible bowl. The atmosphere is pleasant, There is lots of nearby ample parking in the mall it is locted in. I like my food not spicy. They toned down the food to suit my tastes pefectly. My firend likes it much more spicy and was equally satified with his food. This place is a real special treat. If you are in toronot and near the Steeles and Dufferin intersection come here. You will no be disappointed. In factd you will quite pleased and want to come back oftern.
My family and I recently dined at this restaurant and were surprised to find that the taste of the dishes we ordered was not as good as it had been before. It's possible that they have changed chefs, as even the halo-halo was not up to par.
