Uruapan Taco - Compton
Uruapan Taco
Description
Uruapan Restaurant offers a mix of experiences, with some praising the rich flavors of dishes like carnitas and chicharrón, while others find the food lacking authenticity and taste. Despite an inviting menu and quick service, criticisms emerge regarding the ambiance and portion sizes, suggesting it might cater more to convenience than quality. Nevertheless, the burritos, especially the red meat variety, receive positive notes for their taste and crispy tortillas. Overall, it retains a loyal following, particularly for quick bites.

The burrito was excellent, with a perfect balance of beans, rice, and asada. It wasn't greasy at all.
They rush you when ordering and if you order it with chile re-full, the chiles are good, guys, nothing, this is the second time that happens to me and for 11.80 they go overboard.
This is my favorite spot whenever I'm in the area. I always order the carnitas (mixto) burrito, which includes mazisa, cuerito, and buche. It's absolutely delicious! My wife enjoys the chile relleno burrito, especially since they remove all the seeds before stuffing it. The place itself and the surrounding area aren't fancy, but the incredible flavors make it worth a visit if you're craving carnitas. They also offer other dishes like chile Verde, chile colorado, and costillas con chile verde, just to name a few. This is truly a Mexican soul food gem, and they have Mexican sodas too. Dining is done standing at the counter, like in some taquerias, and there's no seating available. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it always works out in the end.
