Feedback
Francois, chef owner extraordinaire feeds you so well that it is ok that you are in the middle of nowhere without internet service etc.. But great stop on way to Quebec City or Montreal . A 5 course meal of his choice , cooked with paddion and to perfection. Unique gourmet. The rooms could use more light so bring a reading light if you read in bed.
Belle table dans une ambiance chaleureuse...cuisine raffinée ...service respectueux....et en plus un apportez votre vin...je le recommande...
We have had countless dinners at Le Bocage over the past 20 years, having spent a week over New Year's there many times. "Our" room, The Equestrian Suite, is perfect for us, and we have spent many relaxing hours reading by the fireplace there. But as much as we love "our" room, the main reason we have returned again and again to Le Bocage is the combination of the incredible cuisine and welcoming warmth of the chef/proprieteur, Francois Dubois. Francois was born to be in the hospitality business. He is totally natural and relaxed, and has no pretentious airs about his amazing culinary skills. We have been enjoying his food, and the hospitality he and his staff exude, since the year he bought Le Bocage. We can't wait to come back again, and hope that we will have that opportunity very soon. For us, it feels like coming home to someone who loves us as much as we love them - what could be better?!
We went to dine at Bocage after looking for a restaurant that showcases local cuisine. We hit the mark! From start to finish, we were delighted. Our host, who is also the chef, gave us a warm welcome. The dining room is located in a gazebo that preserves the charm of the house and offers a view of the fields colored by the sunset. We enjoyed every course. It should be noted that this restaurant is not for customers looking for options. Each person at the table receives a different dish for each course. Just share! For us, that's what makes Bocage charming. We fell in love with the rabbit in mustard sauce, while my husband fell for the honey and lavender crème brûlée. We will definitely be back on our next visit to the Eastern Townships!
Dining at this Inn/Restaurant is always a delight. Tucked away from the main road, it's a hidden gem. There is no menu; instead, the chef/owner serves a different dish to the ladies and men. Each of the five courses is beautifully presented. Bringing your own bottle of wine helps to keep the cost down (priced at $53 each on Wednesday nights).
