We had a fantastic lunch for a group of 11, and we were all thoroughly satisfied. Everyone enjoyed their main courses and desserts. We had preordered from a diverse Sunday menu. The service was outstanding, and the staff were all very friendly. The Compton Inn successfully maintains its local charm while offering delicious food, which is quite impressive for a small rural village. I would highly recommend it! View all feedback.

I recently visited this local pub/restaurant for the first time and found it to be quite pleasant. It was exceptionally busy, likely due to Remembrance Day. The service felt somewhat disjointed; one staff member behind the bar could have been a bit more friendly. However, once the food arrived, it turned out to be a good experience overall. Price per person: £10-20. Food: 5/5. Service: 4/5. Atmosphere: 4/5.
Delicious pork Sunday lunch accompanied by authentic real ale. Price per person: £20–30. Food: 5/5. Service: 5/5. Atmosphere: 5/5.

This is a fantastic rustic pub that offers great value for takeout. I enjoyed a rich, sweet soup accompanied by thick slices of warm bread, followed by a delicious lamb burger topped with root mayonnaise and served with sweet potato fries. I finished off my meal with a delightful honey ice cream served in a crunchy shell. It felt like a special treat for Valentine's Day!
This is a lovely pub with a beautiful garden that overlooks the picturesque village. From the outside, it may appear closed due to the doors being shut, but don’t be fooled. It’s also clearly a charming local spot, as the owner of a dog who joined us on our walk was well-known here.
Had a nice lunch in this dog friendly, local pub. the salmon and pig bells were excellent quality and well cooked. a better selection of sweet and alcohol-free drinks would have earned the extra star.
Lovely place, very nice to visit for friendly welcoming refreshments after a beautiful country stroll

Despite not being the biggest pub, it's filled with character, delightful staff and beautiful food. Such a relaxed atmosphere with great beer and a lovely beer garden, if you're ever in the area I would highly recommend a visit here
I drink at the Compton late Thursdays and early evening Sundays when visiting this delightful village. Pub staff friendly and attentive even when busy..Regulars praise the food and their Monday quiz night.
Today was our second visit to the Compton Inn, this time for a Sunday roast after our previous evening visit. The atmosphere of the pub is delightful, featuring a cozy fire and warmth from the radiators. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is excellent. There are plenty of good options on the menu, including salads and sandwiches. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it.
This is the third time me have eaten here and they are brilliant. The food was fantastic very high quality with a menu much better than most places. Greeted at the door by staff and made to feel at home by the locals. Service throughout was second to none, I would like to say to the manager a very well done in selecting top rate staff. Five stars is not enough for the Compton Inn well done everyone and a merry Christmas to you all. We well come back thank you.
