What Maya Pant doesn't like about Filberg Lodge Tea House:
On Sunday, August 12th at 12:35pm, I arrived at Filberg and headed to the Summer Kitchen at the far end of the estate. Upon arrival, I grabbed a menu and chose a table. I then went inside the kitchen to place my order. I opted for the ham and cheese bagel, while my companion chose the grilled cheese sandwich. The ham in my bagel was delicious, but I was disappointed that I couldn't taste the aged cheese. My companion... View all feedback.
My wife and I decided to try " tria at the Tea House" as we had heard new owners were now there. What a great choice we made, this was a truly very enjoyable experience. We arrived slightly before opening time but were greeted by the friendly staff and offered some coffee while they prepared to open. The food was really enjoyable and well presented and the chef , who also offers cooking lessons , came out to chat to us and give us some information on what they are hoping to achieve .Highly recommend visiting this well positioned little gem by the sea.
I attended a number of special events at the Filberg this summer and Tria did an amazing job of hosting & feeding me. :-D The Green Dragon Hobbit inspired event was appropriately overwhelming as far as quantity and variety of food. Father's day was delightful,... And frankly the venue is the best place to be on a sunny summer day for lunch, particularly if you have kids. I'm looking forward to seeing what they come up with in 2016!
Going at the Filberg centre is a great experience. Take the time to visit the gardens around the place, it is worth a visit. At the bottom of the park you will find the Filberg Tea house. I suggest to order the english sandwich with the team to have the wonderful authentic experience.

The Filberg Tea House has had some excellent food choices over the past three years. Healthy and yet generous. The Chef that has been working out of this facility is Mark Joneson of Comox Valley Catering. I have been enjoying his meals for years, through different venues that he works out of and through privately catered events. I think the meals Mark serves go great with the Filberg theme, and grounds and Tea house and especially during the famous Filberg Festival. Hope to continue to enjoy the great meals by Chef Mark for years to come !! Thank you to Becky too, the organizer behind the great Chef!! Really have enjoyed our meals here !!
