Description
**Dining Experience at Como’s Finest: A Mixed Bag**
At this bustling Como restaurant, patrons are torn between the allure of its charming ambiance and high-quality cuisine and the frustrations of service inconsistencies. While the food receives high praise, particularly the oysters and a diverse menu, several guests report disappointing waits and lackluster service, especially on slower nights. The absence of a hostess and unprofessional management further frustrate diners, suggesting a need for improved staffing. Despite these challenges, many cherish the cozy atmosphere and vibrant outdoor seating, making it a popular spot for those willing to overlook occasional service hiccups for excellent food.

Finally made it in. Food was great. Oysters were as fresh as can be. Had both raw and fried. Also had chicken wings and the sausage plate. well be back again soon!
After finishing our meal, we paid with our VISA card. My wife signed the receipt and added a 20% tip ($25.67), bringing our total, as per their printed bill, to $165.00. Once we got home, my wife examined our copy of the receipt. It clearly had a line for the tip amount, followed by a line for the total. However, we also received an itemized receipt that showed an extra $19.86 was added to the total, marked as an 18% gratuity with no explanation provided. On top of that, we were already charged over 3% (totaling $4.51) as a service fee for using our credit card. While they do advertise this fee, we accepted it. However, they did not inform us that an 18% automatic gratuity was being charged, regardless of party size. The next morning, before they opened, I left a message regarding the issue, requesting a refund of the $25.67 and explaining that this unauthorized 18% charge felt like theft. A woman, who I assume was a manager, called me back and refused to address the issue, labeling us as rude for asking for a refund and ultimately hanging up on us. I tried to explain that no reasonable person would leave an almost $50 tip for just two steaks. We have been regular patrons of Como Steakhouse and their sister restaurant, Windy City Grill, spending hundreds of dollars a month at these establishments in the past. However, that will no longer be the case. You won't receive another dime from us, as the food is not worth it. There are many other great steakhouses that do not engage in deceptive practices or ignore customer complaints while keeping their money. Save yourself the trip to Como, Mississippi, and instead visit Delta Steakhouse in Senatobia. Their steaks are just as good, and their service is exceptional. Shame on you, Como Steakhouse! If you're looking for a restaurant run by rude thieves, then Como Steakhouse is the place for you!
