It feels like a fairytale: the atmosphere is intimate and refined, with the background sound of the river flowing nearby. The cuisine is fantastic: creative and deeply harmonious dishes, where you can sense great attention to detail and respect for the ingredients. I'm vegetarian and found some delicious options, and the dessert was sublime! The service was attentive, discreet, and truly welcoming. I can't wait to return, and who knows how wonderful it would be to dine outside surrounded by nature! Highly recommended!

We were welcomed by the delightful chef Francesco, who delighted us with dishes crafted with meticulous attention to detail. The appetizers were excellent and unexpected, and from the à la carte selection, I recommend the seafood main course, monkfish.

They know their restaurant by heart and are passionate about the food of the tradition. It is a historic high end restaurant nested in a peaceful valley where there used to be many factories. The food is incredibly good and made fresh every day. The main dining room with the fireplace was stunning. I look forward to visit it again.

Not only was the food spectacular, but the ambiance w... read more This was not only the best meal we had in Lake Como, but the best we had in our 2 week trip through Italy. Not only was the food spectacular, but the ambiance was romantic and the service couldn’t have been better. Everything was perfect and we immediately felt like part of the family when we walked in. We shared the caramelized onion tart, “super spaghetti”, braised lamb, sea bass chocolate cake. Each thing we ate was more outstanding than the last. Every dish was unique and incredibly flavorful and we kept asking for more bread to clean the plates (which Navedano happily kept providing). The service was also exceptional. The chef even modified the complimentary starter for a person in the party that had an allergy! While we were happy to end our trip to Lake Como with such an incredible meal, we were a little sad we went to Navedano on our last night as we couldn’t go back! Navedano is most definitely worth the trip if you want authentic, high quality food with incredible service in a beautiful atmosphere. Easily 5 stars and such a memorable experience dining in a restaurant owned and operated by the same family for over 125 years!

The dining-room is r... read more Very traditional and warm welcome by the owners, representing the 5th generation. As it was windy and rainy, the fireplace was not working. The dining-room is really beautiful, old-fashioned but classy. We had very good gamberis to start with, then some beef and lamb. The beef was well-cooked and the portion quite large. The lamb was excellent but there three tiny pieces of meat...which frankly were disappointing given the price. The wine list is interesting but very, very expensive. Good and efficient service, but the restaurant was almost empty.

From the ambience, setting, hosting, to the cuisine, everything is perfectly balanced. This is probably one of the best and my favorite restaurant in Italy.

We had their special dish of the day (Whole chicken baked with their garden leaves in terracotta clay). It was exquisite.. If you go there ask about Laila one of the owners and hosts. Located in a lovely and perfectly kept garden, this place is the oldest restaurant of the region and has been within the same family since 1896 (currently: 5th generation! . The owners are extremely nice and attentive, the service impeccable and the food excellent. The restaurant may be slightly old fashioned, but it gives a very warm atmosphere. Last but not least, although we left quite a large tip, the owners gave it all to the waitress. Very impressed by the overall kindness and care!
