we visited this restaurant to two places and it is huge worth. we paid €12 for two courses, including a glass of wine or water and a coffee. eating was ok and not high kitchen, but at the price they can not complain and this. makes the restaurant in 3/4 classification. the service was good and fast. ideal for a quick bite at the linch View all feedback.

Locanda del borgo is not a hidden gem, it is overpriced, pretentious and eating is very moderate. they go in and expect an honest, well made trattoria style kitchen. what they offer is too ambitious for the kitchen and the wallet. the starters. were moderate. I had culatello and mozzarella and the ham, sold as culatello, was tasteless and the mozzarella old. the essential terrible: the tagliata €22) was tasteless and probably old, the kalbsschaloppin gamey was probably for a because in the refrigerator,) the fish ravioli tasty. the worst was still to come as the desserts were so bad: crema catalana, which they forgot to defrost and a pannacotta that looked and tasted) so sorry they wondered if it was actually pannacotta. all for a fierce price. at the same price they can better dinate in como. will not go back there
Overpriced. we didn't get all parts of our food. the waiter explained that it should come with our food and never have arrived. I wasn't good for vegetarians.
Externally this Lombardia cuisine restaurant looks so inviting, similar to those lovely small eateries in south of France. However once entered, the ambience inside is a disappointment: cold, tired, bland, sterile. I felt like leaving asap. The service was courteous and attentive. The food was...quite good. (It would be more balance if the duck breast appetizer could be smaller in portion size and price €2-€4 cheaper. What was served looked like a main dish but cold) The free aperitif white wine was very much appreciated. I don't recommend the red house wine though. Open a bottle if you must drink but if the ambience can't entice you to stay for long, then no point.
