L'antica Riva - COMO

This is so a jewel! from the tourist route recommended by our concierge when we ask for traditional cuisine. small menu and less the Italian classic, but eating is fabulous and the personal amazing. brilliant seafood (fritto misto the best) and large local wine. so beautiful with our baby even fresh pasta! highly recommended!

A total disaster. I have never seen a restaurant as disorganized as this one they couldn 't keep track of people in line, of who ordered what, etc. Waiting for a table was a nightmare on it 's own, as they kept making mistakes in assigning them. I wish we had left then. After having waited for more than one hour to be served, we told the waiter we preferred to pay (for the only thing we had: a bottle of water) and leave, because it was taking too long. He told us nonsense , made us wait... after another 30 minutes we received what we had ordered... and it was awful. My guess is that they have tried to speed up the process... by compromising quality and hygiene. Potatoes were greasy, with no salt, but the worst part was the fish: apparently, they forgot to clean it

Disastrous experience. Probably one of the worst grilled plates we ever had. Not sure how they get away with serving such low quality meals for such a high price. Just because you are in a touristy place does not mean you should not care about the quality of the dishes you are serving.

I came here because they vegan gnocchi, it was good, but their non-vegan options are definitely better if they can have them. it is less of a casual restaurant and more of a middle fine restaurants. I had different seafood dishes and they were all very average, but the garnels I received free were very tasty, definitiw the highlight of the meal. I would recommend this place if they wished a less casual culinary experience, I would also recommend sitting inside as it is excellent.

On Saturday evening I went to dinner with seafood/fish in como and followed the recommendation of the hotel como. the personal wanted to serve me well. However, the seat had to be changed two times because they were not internally clear, which is free and fits for a person. the grilled seafood and fish plates were very good. the salat was not fresh and the part of the side grilled vegetables was quite small, it contained three slices aubergine, three tiny pieces zucchini and a thin apple slice. no idea how the apple made it a sweet. I also ordered another lemon that was good, but the alio (karlic in oil) had literally no garlic in it, so there was no garlic taste, that was for waste. the view of the lake is beautiful, but cars drive past this street. pricy restaurant for good eating, but room for improvement in relation to the greens. there is no wlan either. at the end I paid 48 eur for me, which is quite expensive, because I didn't cry or dessert. actually was the bill 49 eur, but the waiter might not have seen clearly in the evening. it is not easy to evaluate 4, so it may be more a 3.
