I Gradoni - COMO

Although about a kilometer from the center is is a very easy walk as it is basically all flat. But it is certainly worth it! An interesting menu with added dishes reflecting what is the very best at the time of year or month. Two of us had an exquisite vegetable soup enhanced with porcini mushrooms a clear choice as this is a fantastic season for mushrooms both in terms of quantity and quality. I followed up with straccetti di vitello accompanied by a vegetable couscous. Excellent. The restaurant is also known for its attentive selection of wines and we were not disappointed.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Gradoni. Ivan and Asia made us feel very welcomed! The food was delicious, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Authentic trattoria settings just a mile from the lake of Como. Somewhat cosy warm atmosphere very Italian and welcoming. The owners are truly passionate about food so enjoy a vast choice of meats bolliti salumi steaks, pastas could not miss from the menu as well. But we went for a mix between of tuscan and piedmont experience with salami and brasato. Yummy. Wonderful. Wines are wonderful reds whites. La Barbera was our choice. Beautiful. Shall we miss a wonderful dessert? Cheesecake to keep us sugary as warm. Light and tasty. A negative note? Service on the slow side. But the reward was significant so you can be indulgent. Well done. Bravo. Give it a try. You will walk out an happy man.
