Excellent place. We found it by accident, but it was a great accident. Beautifull place, wonderfull staff, definitely recomended. And we got to it in a fiat panda! So dont fear the road. Also beautifull hikes all around. View of millan on one side and como on the other side from mountain peak. I wish we would have planned to stay more days. View all feedback.

Absolutely amazing restraunt. The food is great, very tasty and I have been here 3 times and all 3 meals have been great. The meals are reasonably priced for the quality you recieve. The service is amazing, everyone that i have met in this place is very friendly and although i speak english, they were very helpful and spoke some english too! Everything is clean, well decorated, and in winter well heated... which was a massive bonus. The view from the restraunt is breath taking, and is positioned in a fantastic spot. I will definately come back here!!

A decade or so ago, Baita Bondella was a sure stop on the ridge route of the Lake Como triangle. But then its management changed, quality and service went downhill, and we no longer considered it when planning day walks. But on a recent longer-than-expected stroll, we found ourselves outside Bondella on a sunny Sunday afternoon, saw the packed terrace, and decided to step inside for a snack. Based on this sample, we can say Baita Bondella is very much back on its game. Despite a considerable crowd and no reservation on our part, we were found a table promptly, and the busy waiting team covered us much more quickly than we might have expected. Our food was good to excellent, especially a piping hot but tender polenta w/ gorgonzola, and the prices were correct for the genre (except for the perhaps slightly expensive house wine). Paying our bill, we learned the new operators have been there only since the summer of 2012, and we were happy to wish them well. To rediscover if you were a fan of the old place. NB: Only open dawn to sunset. Dinners by special reservation.
