Let me add my voice to the chorus of admiring fans of this bakery. We ordered the cake for my parents' 75th wedding anniversary (that was not a misprint) party here. The ordering was done completely over the phone where she guided us on all of our options. The marble cake with vanilla buttercream frosting was outstanding. My husband bought me a 7” birthday cake here. Decorations were the only nice thing. Buttercream was hard. Cake was more of a pound cake than sponge. He could have gotten a better cake at Kroger. Not worth $60 for a mediocre cake. View all feedback.

This cake is the best I've ever had in Michigan. It’s the same as Japan's top level shortcake.
I'm leaving the state in a month, but I couldn't be happier to have found this cake shop! It's a cake shop that makes you want to visit again and again because it's delicious no matter what cake you eat! Thank you so much for making Japanese cakes here in America. I love cakes from this shop!
We ordered a strawberry birthday cake. Quite tall so the 7 inch cake was more than enough for a party of 8 adults. Just the right amount of sweetness. The cake was super soft and tasty. Will order again!
We had an amazing experience ordering a same-day cake. We specifically requested a strawberry shortcake, and they truly came through. It was absolutely delicious! We received numerous compliments on the cake. I highly recommend it!

This bakery is a true treasure. It’s sophisticated, artistic, and of the highest quality. I had a tight schedule to prepare a cake for a birthday party, and I brought in my design. They offered me great options, including fondant and photo cakes, and the result completely surpassed my expectations. I chose the white almond cake with chocolate ganache filling, which was simply divine. If you want to impress, this should be your go-to bakery! And while I was there, I couldn’t resist picking up their gooey sugar cookies... they are absolutely heavenly. These bakers are the real deal!

So talented! Best bakery! Always makes cakes/cookies the exact way I ask or better. The cake is always the center point of our parties. Not only are they beautiful but they are delicious too.
Best wedding cake ever! So thankful I chose Sugako to make our cake. The buttercream was the best and we loved how she did the birch bark. Had chocolate and vanilla cupcakes for the guests, who all loved them! Definitely recommend A’Fondant!
