Was Anonym at Le Bachais a mag?
excellent time spent with friends and family for a very hearty lunch with a breathtaking view of the quick service of m. despite the distress, and we were 10! This is a perfect place for a gourmet stopover between 2 tracks! We'll be back! View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Le Bachais:
We've been used to this for a few years, but this year, the big problem comes from servers that are never there when you need it! at least 30 minutes for dishes 20 minutes for dessert and the same thing for coffees that we refused (cold) servers are rigolos that are not the one to work but to make esbroufa! the dishes are correct and of quality (farm reblochon) in salads that is not the case in the heart of gold (fru... We’ve been eating here for years in ski season and were interested to see how things would change under new direction. What can I say... it’s just terrible. The whole thing has gone down hill thanks to the terrible rude staff. The place is always packed on a sunny holiday day, and everyone expects to wait for a table at lunch. But this crew running it now are simply taking the money with no attempt at customer service. We have stood in line twice in the last few weeks waiting out turn for a table. Once we were directed to a table by one member of staff, to be shouted at by another and told to leave as others needed it first , then to be told sorry you can have it. Yesterday we went late, stood for half an hour, not pushing in , just waiting to be acknowledged... every member of staff who went past failed to make eye contact or say hello. I said hello several times, to be ignored... the French woman in front of me said she’d said hello 7 times with no reply. In the meantime I watched people going up to tables and seating themselves ... then to be thrown off. All it takes is a simple “hello, we are busy, we will seat you as soon as we can.” The men working there are all stressed out and refuse to make eye contact, and the new patron is rude beyond exception. One lovely lady was trying to do her best to seat people in order, explaining her challenge, eventually found us a table, but after that forget it ... no table cleaned ... no water ... terrible service. Food is ok but that’s it, we’re done with the Bachais and we won’t go back now even on a quiet March weekend when they might value the season-long customer . Go down to the other restaurants on the Combloux pistes and find the people who know how to serve skiers ... what a shame to be ruining a previously lovely restaurant.

A good place to stop for coffee or lunch. Friendly staff. Fantastic views. Good food at good prices. Does tend to be very busy so get there early or late for lunch.

We 've been here many times over the last 10 years. We 've seen the transformation from the old 'ski hut ' to a modern restaurant that has lost none of its charm. The owner/manager is a delightful lady, the young staff are very friendly, the prices for food and drink are very reasonable compared to other hillside restaurants, the food is great and it is always very busy at weekends so remember to book lunch in advance the telephone number is on the piste map with all the other restaurants too.
