The deer filet with chanterelles was excellent. Right degree of preparation. The other meals of the party also were tasty. The chestnut desert was delicious, although the amount of chantilly was a bit too much for some. The wine list, at least the reds, was exclusively Ticino wines. We had an excellent Tre Terre, but it was a gamble.
After a nice hike from the top of monte San Salvatore to Carona, don't forget to stop by this lovely restaurant which has nice outdoor garden seating and very good Italian food.
This is a family owned and run restaurant. Very friendly and cozy, superb food.We came here for dinner and really enjoyed the delicious food and friendly atmosphere and ambiance. The pumpkin soup was excellent (spicy so beware if you dont like spicy), eggplant and Burrata were also excellent. Our steaks (cote de beuf), veal steak and Bass were all excellent. Deserts (chestnut cream mus chocolate) local made grappa were also great. Very enjoyable experience, we shall come again. The restaurant has plenty of additional seating outside for nice/warm summer days.
Every now and then I stop for lunch when I have construction sites to manage nearby. Excellent pizzas, as well as freshly prepared dishes. Fast service and friendly staff.
Location is very charming, inviting. Service was good enough but raw. The food was totally below our expectation, which was an average expectation. It’s really a trap. The tuna carpaccio was thick, Dressing was not good and it wasn’t super fresh. The bruschetta had a not fresh bread (which is pretty basic). My pomodoro pasta was good, kind of cold, small Serving. My husbands shrimp and fungi risotto was good. Desert was bad chocolate like pudding with strawberry like ice cream and amaretto cookie (unnatural amaretto taste, unnatural strawberry taste, not fine pudim). If you go for the food don’t go.
