**Dining at Star Beau's: A Mixed Experience**
At Star Beau's, opinions on the dining experience vary dramatically. While some patrons rave about the large portions and delicious homemade dishes, like the renowned chicken fried steak and coconut pie, others express deep frustration with the service and atmosphere. Reports of long wait times, unwelcoming staff, and food mishaps mar the experience, leaving visitors feeling unwelcome. Decor and cleanliness also seem to be persistent concerns. Despite the good food that a few customers have enjoyed, many suggest seeking dining alternatives, especially if you're only passing through Comanche, Texas.

Would I return? Yes Traveling thru, I needed a meal for the evening, and of the limited restaurants that showed up in my search results, most were Mexican; and I didn 't want Mexican that can be had in nearly any township. I opted for this little place on the square 's peripheral. The building is an old 1890s ish structure, and the interior is from yesteryear, also....kinda neat! Very unassuming, though. What Kelly Marie dislikes about Star Beau's:
The food is not worth the rude attitudes. Who wants to go out to eat and have staff clap back like a toddler. Rude and condescending. The gent with the tattoos is a doll but the other older couple are simply nasty. I regretted it the first time I went and thought I’d order to-go to avoid them but even still, grouchy cook snapped at me for asking a question. View all feedback.

We stopped by for lunch and were very pleased with our meal. Homemade chicken salad on a great sourdough bun and a club sandwich on a French roll. All very fresh and large portions. We opted for coconut pie for dessert and my husband said it was the best he had ever tasted! Friendly service, too. Don’t let the look of the place deceive you… the food is good.
The food was delicious and quick. Their. Chicken sandwiches are the best. Definitely worth going for that. We have been there a couple of times now and each time the service seemed like we were an inconvenience or interrupting something to the waitress. Not very friendly until time to check out. The place could be updated, felt like the ceiling could fall at any moment or at least pieces of it.
Ok if you like chicken fried steak they do a good job on it. Not to expensive and probably the best sit down restaurant in the town right now. They say the deserts are wonderful, but I don't eat desserts

I was promptly greeted and served! I ordered the Pasta Carbonara; it was nice and very sizeable portion! This restaurant does NOT ACCEPT CARDS cash only or maybe check.
