Sloopy's Diner - Columbus
Sloopy's Diner
Description
Near campus with a pleasant outlook, this college eatery offers sit-down service, generous portions and often high-quality meals that feel like a treat—especially for students willing to splurge. The staff can be friendly and dine-in is lively, but takeout is hit-or-miss: seasoning and prep vary, fries can be soggy, and waits grow long at peak times. Crucially, payment is limited to Ohio State student IDs. With improved seasoning and faster, better-trained service it could become truly excellent.

The restaurant pays its employees minimum wage and does not allow them to keep their tips. They offer around $500 a month to the "Employee of the Month," claiming that this amount represents the total of all tips.
