Chuy's - Columbus
Chuy's
Description
A lively Tex‑Mex spot delivers standout chips, salsa, queso and hearty mains like fajitas and signature combos in a bright, spacious dining room with engaging decor. Service and food consistency vary: when smooth the staff are friendly and accommodating, but patrons may encounter long waits, incorrect orders or bills, cold plates, and limited menu choices. Family‑ and group‑friendly with ample parking and kid seating, it's a good casual option if you accept occasional variability in speed and accuracy.

Our office often orders from Chuy 's for our pharma rep to pick-up for our lunch. We typically do not have issues ordering over the phone with the exception of both times Vanessa took our order. The last time we ordered with Vanessa, our rep was already at the restaurant to pick up the food before Vanessa even completed the over the phone order. Today 's order, what should take under 5 minutes to complete, took over 15. We had to repeat our order MULTIPLE times she still did not get it correct. She constantly put us on hold to find the right button on the register. She also kept repeating that she did not know how to ring in certain items to us which should NEVER be relayed to the customer.Certain items that our staff ordered due to diet restrictions, she questioned the choices which was very unprofessional. The manner in which she talked over the phone is not how we would allow our staff to communicate to customers. We contribute to the Chuy 's Polaris business often. Nobody should be given this type of service over the phone or in person. We are not happy with how these orders were handled.
While I waited, I noticed that several customers who arrived at the same time as me were seated, finished their meals, and left. I also saw the manager conducting interviews and giving out two $25 gift cards to another customer, who then asked if I was there for an interview as well. After an hour, the woman from the kitchen returned to apologize for the delay and mentioned that she had added extra chips to my order. However, I was charged the full amount! I will say the chicken was well-seasoned, but the flautas lacked any cheese flavor or presence. They were supposed to come with pico, guacamole, and sour cream, but I didn’t receive any of those. Instead, I got ranch/jalapeño sauce and salsa. Overall, I was disappointed with how the situation was handled, especially since the mix-up was on their end.
Loved the creamy jalapeño dip and fresh tomato salsa. The chicken tortilla soup was ok and my boyfriends beef burrito was
The Elvis Presley Memorial Combo is absolutely amazing! The spices in the sauces are perfectly balanced. The Mexican rice and refried beans were packed with flavor, and the chicken flautas were delicious. We also loved the Chuychanga, and the chips, salsa, and queso were fantastic. A big thank you to the staff at Chuy's for accommodating a few special requests I had when placing my order. We will definitely be ordering from Chuy's again!
