Feedback
This restaurant in Columbus is one of the top spots for Asian cuisine. The food is consistently hot, fresh, and delicious. Make sure to sample the Szechuan wonton and the Chongqing popcorn chicken.
I was disappointed with the sweet and sour short ribs at this restaurant. The sauce was mediocre and tasted more like ketchup than a traditional sweet and sour sauce. The dish also had more bones than meat. Overall, it was not a satisfying experience for me.
I am a fan of spicy food, but I have to warn you that the level of heat on the popcorn chicken may be too much for most people to handle. My main issue was with how the chicken was prepared. The pieces were cut very small, possibly to disguise the fact that they were mostly coating. To make things worse, the chicken was overcooked, resulting in a dry and tough texture. The dish also contained what appeared to be beans, but they were hard, crunchy, and lacked flavor. Additionally, the dish lacked sauce to tie the meat and rice together. On the other hand, the egg rolls were delicious, as was the 114. Szechuan wonton (mild). While I have heard great things about the food at this restaurant, the chicken dish just did not meet my expectations.
This is NYC Chinatown good! Im so glad I tried this restaurant it will definitely be my go to when Im craving Chinese cuisine. I highly recommend the storm fish if you can appreciate spicy dishes and the walnut shrimp is unlike any Ive ever had and Ive tried many walnut shrimp dishes. These shrimps were so crispy they had a crunchy exterior that is a must try!!
The "crunchy" sesame chicken was extremely mushy and I would believe it if someone told me it was a frozen dinner The "sizhwan" style fried potatoes are soggy crinkle cut fries youd find in the freezer aisle with a dash of cumin and sesame seed sprinkled on top The egg rolls were unremarkable and nothing you wouldnt find at any of the number of Chinese restaurants in Columbus.
