Balboa was a nice new find and addition to Grandview. The service was terrific and we both loved the food. BTW, best margaritas I have ever had but be sure to get them on the rocks. A+ View all feedback.

I had tried to go to Balboa shortly after it opened with a group of friends, but it was slammed and the wait was long. Since then I'd been hesitant to go, because I value convenience. The service at this restaurant was subpar. We waited 30 minutes for a waiter to come take our drink orders.

I have been to Balboa Restaurant multiple times in the past. However, during my latest visit, I was extremely disappointed with the food quality. I had brought a friend to enjoy Taco Tuesday, and had raved to them about how delicious the tacos were. Unfortunately, this time the food fell short of my expectations. Everything we ordered was served cold, including the meat in the tacos. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for both me and my friend.
McKenzie our server was disinterested, never came to offer refills. Stated I don't know beer so I can't help as her initial contact. Overall a long wait for food despite being there at 5:30 on a week night. Brisket tender but no flavor, desert was dry and not really edible. Shrimp enchilada was delicious though.
I enjoyed my meal here and liked the funny feeling of the place. I had the Steak Diablo and my wife had a salad, both were excellent. Beer selection is not huge, but is well chosen. We sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely come back.
