my wife and I visited friends near pennsylvania and went to lunch in the weinbergen on the pine lake. the weingut offers wine tasting and has a restaurant with a view of the lake. we ordered the turquoise, one of their wee and a flight of three weepings to rehearse. all were very good. for lunch we shared a garlic and parmesan flatbread and bang garnel to share as appetizers, followed by a burger, a chicken sandwich... wanted to enjoy outside glass wein on a beautiful summer day. hostess told us 45 min. wait for table because of personal lack and said to wait at the bar. the people were jammed at the bar without room. mentioned we would drink ourselves and sit outside on deck with more open chairs than overall people inside. I said this was not possible and hostess followed us on deck, as we enjoyed it. should have talked to manage... View all feedback.
They have a nice selection of wine! Great atmosphere and food!
During my first visit to this restaurant, the waitress brought us water and I noticed a gnat in my glass. I pointed it out to her, but she did not offer any apologies or explanations. Despite my request for a fresh glass of water, the waitress did not provide a replacement or apologize. I decided to request a new server and ordered the 8-ounce steak with potatoes and green beans. Unfortunately, when my meal arrived, the steak was dry and the potatoes and green beans were also overcooked. I was excited to dine at this restaurant again, as I had previously enjoyed the food, but I was extremely disappointed this time. The restaurant has a lovely setting, with a beautiful view of the lake and landscape. However, I feel compelled to share my negative experience. I usually do not complain unless absolutely necessary, but I regret to say that I will not be returning. I visit Shaker Woods every year and have always had a positive experience with the food and atmosphere. However, this time was a letdown. I did not even finish my meal and spent $40 on it. My friend was also dissatisfied. - Sarah, an unsatisfied customer.
I really wanted to like this restaurant. I tried two wines, but neither were better than the wine I can get at the gas station on the way home. I wanted to try a different wine, but they were out. The service was not good, even though it wasn't busy. Our food was average at best, and my husband's Flatbread was covered in what looked like canned mushrooms. The scenery and patio were nice, so we chose to sit outside because the inside smelled like generic wood-scented air freshener. The tables had umbrellas, but they weren't secured properly and we had to keep our umbrella from tipping over multiple times. Another group wasn't as lucky and their umbrella fell over. It was only a slight breeze. It felt like this place was trying to have the atmosphere and prices of an upscale restaurant but couldn't deliver.
We had a lovely Mother's Day dinner at this restaurant. The food was unique and very delicious. The servers were fantastic and there were no long lines to wait in. Everything moved smoothly. For dessert, they offered brownies, cookies, and cupcakes. Although nicely displayed, they weren't my favorite. The food overall was great, and having water on the table in lovely glasses was a nice touch. We enjoyed an affordable meal for my mom and me. Additionally, they gave out flower seed packs and provided pages for the kids to color with crayons.
First visit yesterday in the weingut. beautiful place with beautiful landscape! we had the crab rangoon dip that was quite delicious! I only have the tomate and mozzarella salat was a little overpriced! mostly only green with three tomato slices and two or three cheese slices! I have four small grape tomatoes and the prices were $14.00!
