The fried pickle fries were absolutely awful. They had a thin strip of pickle surrounded by 2-3 times the amount of fry mix. Not nearly enough pickle per fry.My house chips were fine, though they completely forgot to season my friend 's chips; they were just fried, flavorless slices of potato.The tacos were inedible. It was a nightmare trying to get into the place. There were people cutting in line, and there was no order or crowd control. Once inside, I had to wait in a long line to pay for overpriced drinks. It feels like a college bar, but it definitely needs some improvement. I shouldn't have to worry about getting into a fight just to enter a bar.
Be prepared to wait a long time for your food to arrive; it feels like you'll retire before it gets to your table. The food and beers are fantastic, but the service in the kitchen leaves something to be desired. The waitress was excellent, so this seems to be an issue on the kitchen's end.
We visited for brunch on a Saturday, and the college students were already indulging in bottomless mimosas. The food was more sophisticated than anticipated given the overall atmosphere, aligning with typical brunch fare. Most of the dishes we tried were enjoyable, except for one item in the bacon flight, which was overly salty (though that might appeal to some). The skillet potatoes and avocado toast were decent, meeting expectations but not impressing. Overall, as a middle-aged diner, I felt slightly out of place, even though the food was good. However, I likely won't return anytime soon since there are plenty of other brunch spots that better suit my demographic.
The service was the best part of my visit. Went in for brunch and got the potato skillet and the fried pork tacos. The potato skillet was supposed to have pork fat, but it was more like a pork fat soup with a small side of potatoes. It was absolutely disgusting. The pork in the pork tacos were hard as a rock and not tasty at all. Would not recommend at all for brunch.
