I've been eating at The Thicket for nearly four decades. After coming back from the military and moving to the low country, it was my mom's favorite place to go anytime I was in town. Lizard's Thicket is partially the blame for my expanded waistline.: View all feedback.
What John W doesn't like about Lizard's Thicket:
The only complaint I have is the amount of food I got. The amount I received was more for a child's plate than an adult. A scoop of this a scoop of that. Didn't feel like I got a good value for my money. View all feedback.
Very clean restaurant with biscuits so fluffy and soft that they will crumble on you.
It had been a long time since I've been in a Lizard's Thicket. The service was good, food was prepared how I requested and the atmosphere was fine.
I had the Sausage Gravy and Biscuits and they were Awesome…hmmm?

I'm generally not into southern food however this place was pretty good. We order the fried chicken which was well seasoned and fried. Our chicken was not dry at all. I ordered their Small plate which was perfect size for me. Sides we ordered were also well made and fresh. Staff was attentive and our waitress was very friendly, attentive and chatty. Not just with us but all her tables. She had great energy. I would definitely come back just because of how welcoming they are here.
