The waitstaff, especially Roman, were incredibly attentive and polite. They definitely earned their tip. The atmosphere was perfect for spending some time relaxing, sharing small plates, and sampling a flight of wine. Although I'm not usually a fan of tapas as a budget-friendly option, the experience here was delightful and well worth it. View all feedback.
Gervais Vine in Columbia is a great place for high quality food and drinks in a cool and relaxed atmosphere. I like the location and the customer service they offer here.
I am not a big fan of tapas places (bc I have never felt that I get enough food in parts situations) but we end up a G
This is the ideal spot for a date night! They offer tapas-style appetizers along with a fantastic selection of unique wines. Don't miss the Spicy Shrimp Gambas—they're a must-try! Our server, Brittany, was exceptional and provided us with great recommendations. The food is genuinely authentic for Columbia, SC, and they even have live music on certain nights!
A good friend I went to Gervais Vine for an early, light dinner. It was my first visit. I enjoyed the ambience , tapas, most importantly the wine. The waiter was beyond friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable. If you're looking for a nice quiet place to have a good conversation a light bite, I would recommend!
This is a nice, spacious room with a small seating area outside (too hot to consider on the night I was there . Good cocktail menu. I had a Bramble (gin, lemon and creme de cassis which was delicious. The food is billed as tapas, which in theory means they should be small servings so one person would order two or three. (But of course in practice they're often designed to be shared by a table full of people. I had the G&V salad (mixed greens, gorgonzola, almonds, macerated strawberries very good, and reasonable size. Then a special of littleneck clams which was fabulous. They were in a lemony, herby, garlicky broth that was just delicious. Nice grilled ciabatta to soak up the broth. My second tapa (is that the singular? was good too, but just too big and rich at that point: Spicy Shrimp Gambas, shrimp in a stew of bacon, garlic and tomato. There were about eight shrimp there. Perfect for a group to share! They have a good wine list by the glass, and you can also order a half glass of wine, or a flight of three related wines. My waiter was pleasant but just didn't know how to be a waiter. Repeatedly he ignored me when I was trying to catch his eye because I needed something. Not that he was being rude, he was just oblivious. Hostess was very nice.
