Beef’o’brady’s - Columbia

One would assume that a place with this name would have a steak on the menu. You would assume wrong. You would also assume that it would have Irish food and not Texmex. Again, you would assume wrong. Finally, you would assume that they would have Guinness draft. I think you see where I 'm going with this. I honestly don 't know how they can stay in business with that name coupled with that menu. The damn menu was like 12 pages long! WTF? What I was expecting from a place named Beef O 'Bradys : Beer choice: Harps, Killian or Guinness. That 's it. Menu: Steak, lamb, Shepherd 's Pie, Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips, and everything comes with Soda bread. That 's it. Though that 's honestly what I was expecting. But that 's not even close to what I got. My wife had the turkey and bacon sandwich. I asked her if it was as good as Groucho 's Deli. She said, it 's good, but it 's not not even close to Groucho 's. She did say her drink was really good. I had the signature burger. It was a hamburger served with what you could tell were frozen french fries. It was OK, nothing spectacular, and certainly not worth $9. I have serious doubts I 'll ever go again.

My daughter and I wanted to try a local restaurant for some mommy and me time, so we attempted to give this restaurant a shot. It's a busy Tuesday evening, so my daughter asked if we could get it to go. We were met at the door by a sweet hostess who referred us to the bar to Cindy to place our order. We literally stood there for 10 minutes without be acknowledged. There was 1 gentlemen sitting already while Cindy walked back and forth working. A family came and sat literally behind where we were standing. She greeted them, with menus and silverware, almost immediately STILL without acknowledging us. Needless to say, I took my kid and left... Now I'm trying to explain to her why something like this just happened.

This was both me and Kelsay's first visit to Beef O Brady's, her first ever... and my first in a while lol. I've eaten at the Beef's in NE Columbia years ago, but this was a pleasant surprise because the menu was completely new! We asked the server for her recommendations, which were most of the burgers, chicken bowls, wings and the cheesesteak. Kelsay got the cheesesteak with no green peppers and I decided on the 5 cheese burger. We also got some sauces on the side (honey mustard, sweet jalapeño, honey bbq and spicy garlic .75 cents each, except for honey mustard.. that's free). The food came out quickly and looked great. The 5 cheese burger was essentially a grilled cheese sandwich and burger combined, definitely for a cheese lover. I dipped it in the honey bbq sauce and it made it 10 times better. Kelsay was pleased with the cheesesteak too, her only complaint was that they were a little heavy on the onions, but the meat was very well seasoned. Overall, the food was great and we'll definitely be returning soon! The wings are on my radar!

I love the Brie sandwich, and it's great that they deliver to my neighborhood which is in a bit of a food desert.

I started going to Beef 's when we moved into the area about a year ago. They have great weekly specials like Taco Tuesday which also happens to be Bingo night. The food is pretty good and the beer is great! They have a great selection of craft beer as well which I really like. I 'd definitely recommend giving them a try.
