Visited for the weekend and enjoyed some cocktails at the bar every evening. Brandon and Lance were both very helpful and friendly. Lance suggested supplementing my Jalapeño Margarita with some Zilantro and Brandon made me some great espresso martinis. Love the atmosphere at this bar, great seating. What User doesn't like about The Ascent Restaurant And Bar:
Don't bother looking at menu online! They only have maybe half of the items for dinner and the bar area. Menu online hasn't been updated in about 2 years (so I was told). Marriott Bonvoy, I expect better than this especially for a hotel which does not have other dining options within close walking distance. Did I mention room service is not an option either. The wait staff was very friendly. The food was a little pricey, but good.
The restaurant was good in decor, staff and overall appearance. My only reason for the lower than perfect rating was my meal. I ordered the sirloin steak MR and it was medium instead and quite sinewy. It had been quite a while since I had had steak anywhere and was looking forward to it. It was edible, of course, or I would have said something to the waiter. Nevertheless not perfect as anticipated. My dining companions did enjoy their meals sufficiently tho.
The miso salmon was fantastic. The staff was super friendly and fun.
Servers were nice/attentive but the food was terrible. Charcuterie board was awful month old meat and cheese seriously??. Salad was old and we were given the wrong dressing. Overall worst food I’ve had in all my stays at Marriott. It was comparable to gas station sushi. Also very very overpriced.
