A nice little restaurant, with quick and friendly service. It has a nice outdoor seating area and a nice atmosphere to it. Food was very good and prices OK. All-in-all it's a good place to grab a bite too eat, but don't expect anything fancy. View all feedback.
What Jules Diallo doesn't like about Brasserie Restaurant Les Dominicains:
Well I would have better believed other reviews and not ordered the Flamkuchen here. It was totally burned and tasted like ashes when I tried. After calling the waitress she claimed it has to be that way, what is obviously not true, after eating Flamkuchen in several restaurants before. I strongly recommend to get the Tarde Flambé in any other restaurant, if you like to taste this speciality in a digestable version! View all feedback.
We got there as the lunch service had just began (11.30am) and had an attentive waiter. We went with the Alsace special on the menu: the pork knuckle and a sausage trio; very German indeed! The food exceeded our expectation. The pork knuckle was of a generous portion. Two of the three sausages had cheese infused and were delicious. We had a very relaxing time people watching after the satisfying meal. The intersection and the church nearby this restaurant made the foot traffic (and the petite trains) very interesting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
The waiters here were run off their feet but never missed a beat. We were seated and had drinks in good time even with the busy restaurant. The food was fantastic. A good selection of local Alsatian dishes and more broader European fare.We were very happy with their childrens meals. Well balanced with salad and garnishes! We're heading back to Colmar for the day tomorrow and I'm keen to go back to try the Braised Pork Knuckle. Mmmmmm......
Located in the old town, a few 100 meters from the Tourist Bureau. Traditional French food, reasonably priced, with good size serves. It was not really busy when we went today, however the service to take the order was slow. Good place for kids, and we sat outside as it was hot.
Had lunch in Colmar and picked this place. I had a dinner salad that had pesto chicken and it was very good and the portion was big. The waiter was friendly, efficient, and accommodating.
What a sad experience to be in Colmar, and eat maybe the worst Tarte Flambée I have ever had. On top of that the waiter was not that kind, and even got wrong our order. Never again.
