We reserved a table fairly last minute so we were nervous that it might not have been received etc (it was via the fork). We need ent have worried, all was fine. This was a wonderful, typically French experience, exquisite food, friendly staff and perfect surroundings, not too stuffy but undeniably excellent food. Highly recommend if you’re in Colmar. What Amphis doesn't like about Bistrot des Lavandières:
Quite a disappointing experience I have to say. We felt amazed by the location close the fountain and the petite Venise but beyond a tasteless food and a pretty expensive bill (not worth it in our personal experience), the staff service felt cold most of the time and quite horrible at certain occasions. A true disappointment View all feedback.

Restaurant very original by its presentation, the reception is warm and friendly. Good value for money. Doing absolutely when we come to Colmar.

Very good cuisine, impeccable service and nice setting. Frankly very good restaurant I highly recommend. Honey pork breast is a treat.
I wrote to them today to find out if a coeliac can eat at this restaurant. They don't seem to pay attention to cross-contamination. Here is the answer I obtained from the manager: “In view of the gravity of your intolerance, cannot guarantee you cross-contamination, and by safety for your health, I recommend you book in a restaurant that will be more able to meet your needs.”
