The dining experience was fantastic and the staff were extremely friendly. We tried the meat sandwiches with fries, which were both delicious and generously portioned. I highly recommend this place. We even sat outside with our dog.
Very typical Chilean food, very inexpensive, a picada (popular with lorry drivers). We had lunch after 5pm and the place was heaving, the same when we left over an hour later. We shared a pastel the choclo (sweetcorn pie filled with meat and chicken) that was very tasty. And then we had slowed cooked meat (called plateada) that in my mind was a bit dry but tasty. Mine came with rice that absorbed all the meat juices. That was the highlight. Really good. After that they gave us some polenta (semolina) flan covered in like honey, quite nice but too sweet for me. Really cheap £36 for 4 adults!!!
Excellent service and homemade food, delicious and very, very abundant. A classic on Route 5 before the Malleco viaduct from the north.
