Don?t let the décor fool you, this place is authentic. The decor is not traditional New Orleans but what folks in Destrehan, Mandeville, etc think of when they hear New Orleans. Place is super clean and neat which if you know NOLA usually means it won?t be any good but this place is the real deal. The blackened redfish was spectacular. It was nice to taste a dish in the Midwest where blackened doesn?t mean burnt and... View all feedback.

Stop to get some food while through the area. I have a burger. Wait 35min. There were only 5 people in the building, none had food except me. The meat was still red, had to buy food somewhere else. No comfortable place to enjoy a meal. The vibe was out, waitress accepted, I wanted my food to go when I first showed up and put me to order. Looks like, probably because I wasn't out of town. Great flavor, flavor was on point. I was confused about red beans and rice, familiar with various recipes or versions of red beans and rice. It does actually include a tad bit more rice. There were like a few rice grains almost like a soup. Gumbo tastes good as well, found it to be unusually watery consistency. Makes me feel it is not completely authentic. A good effort for Cajun food in this part of the country, I guess.

Absolutely wonderful food. Best Cajun we had in a long time and very reasonable prices! Will be back
We found a new place to go have a great unique inexpensive meal!! We can't come back. The chefs there have a real talent. You cook with heart and soul?
Ambiance was great, live band. The fried pimples were delicious. The Buffalo nachos had a great presentation BUT, cheese was cold, chips were a tad stale and generally had a funny not good) taste. I mentioned the server, sent back, but was still loaded: .
