My wife and I recently visited Bad Biscuit on a hot summer afternoon. The restaurant was moderately busy, but there were plenty of tables available. Seating is self-service after ordering from the counter at the back of the room. The menu offers a good variety of biscuit-centric items, perfect for breakfast or brunch. For our first visit, we kept it classic. My wife ordered the Rooster Biscuits N Gravy (biscuit, sausage gravy, and egg), while I opted for the Gravy Train (biscuit with samples of their four gravies: pimento cheese, mushroom, bacon, and sage sausage). We both agreed the sage sausage gravy was our favorite, though mushroom or cheese lovers might enjoy the other options. The food was excellent. The biscuits were tall, flaky, and had the perfect Southern biscuit taste. The sage sausage gravy complemented the biscuit perfectly. I can easily imagine this being a great spot for coffee and biscuits and gravy in the morning. Bad Biscuit might just have the best biscuits on the island. The restaurant is comfortable and unpretentious, with an eclectic and charming decor. Pictures cover one wall, a flying angel hangs from the ceiling, an electric guitar is displayed in a plexiglass case, and a PacMan game sits in the corner. This diverse collection of decor surprisingly works well together. The person who took our order and served us was very friendly, and the customer-only bathroom was clean. While I chose a basic order for my first visit, I was very pleased with the experience at Bad Biscuit. If you're a fan of biscuits and biscuit-related dishes, I highly recommend giving it a try! These biscuits are sooo big! We got a scrambled egg and it was huge! Very friendly staff and such a small unique place to be! There can be a line so get there early if you want a seat, but there is also outdoor seating! The food is fresh and delicious! If you’re visiting it’s a must stop! The portions are generous, and we relished the meal, except for the pricey and lackluster salad. Unfortunately, I found a piece of paper in my bowl, which turned out to be the tag from the spinach used. The salad lacked flavor, so we didn't finish it. The atmosphere is enjoyable, with a fun vibe and pleasant outdoor seating.
