Was User at Moose Cafe a mag?
This place really reminded me of my grandmas southern cooking! I got the western omelette and it comes with biscuit and gravy and a choice of side (I got hashbrown casserole). The omelette was just okay. They used a thick cut ham and lots of veggies in it, but I thought it was almost too much of the onions/peppers. The hashbrown casserole was really good and very cheesy. The gravy was great and had a nice flavor. The... View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Moose Cafe:
The service and waiting staff at Moose Caffe were excellent for a restaurant with southern style, but I was disappointed with the lack of flavor in the food. While some may enjoy the simple preparations, I had hoped for more. The spicy omelet with sausage had an odd taste, the hash brown casserole was heavy on cheese and bacon, and not in a good way. Unless the menu improves, I may not return despite the friendly sta... View all feedback.

I recently dined at this restaurant for breakfast and was thoroughly impressed. The price per person was between $10-20, which I found to be very reasonable. The food was excellent, receiving a perfect 5-star rating from me. The service was also top-notch, with attentive staff and quick service. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, earning another 5-star rating. I highly recommend trying the Biscuit with Apple Butter - it was delicious!

I ordered the country ham combo, where you could choose between French toast or a pancake. My wife chose the pancake, and I chose the French toast. The pancake covered the entire plate, while the French toast was a thin slice of bread barely dipped in batter, burned on the grill, and served on a small saucer. I have dined at other restaurants where they serve at least two thick slices of Texas toast. When I inquired about this, the waitress stated that was the portion size and offered to have the manager come over. The manager confirmed the portion size without offering to substitute the pancake or providing an apology for the policy. The manager did not seem to be customer-friendly. I will be going somewhere else that values my business in the future.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic and the portions are huge! I give it a perfect score of 5 for both the food and service. The atmosphere also earns a perfect 5 rating.

It was a nice place for breakfast. The biscuits with apple butter were terrific! Compared to most places Moose Cafe is quite expensive. The veggie omelette was around $11 on the menu. I asked the waitress if it could be egg white only and she didn't mention that it was going to be a $3 upcharge. Our visit cost about $45 for 2 omelettes and a kids pancake. Dietary restrictions: The upcharge for egg whites is $3 Service: Dine in

Moose Caffe presents a mixed dining experience that has left patrons divided. While the service is consistently praised for its attentiveness and friendliness, the food has faced considerable criticism for its lack of flavor and freshness. Some guests find the menu heavy on salt and processing, while others appreciate the homemade appeal and generous portions, particularly of breakfast items like biscuits with apple butter. Prices are considered steep for the offerings, and various culinary missteps, including poor preparation and a need for more authentic ingredients, may deter repeat visits. Overall, Moose Caffe might appeal to those seeking a casual meal, but improvements are essential to enhance its culinary reputation.

Stay away from this Slop house! we wish we had it! we made the mistake to stop there on 02/20/21. my glass water had a brown mud on the floor. the cookies were hard and cold. it was not better than we received our entrées. my man ordered the turkey and dressing with kartoffeln. the truthahn looked out and tasted as it came from a dose, the dressur was terrible and the whole plate was penetrated in a disgusting light yellow engraving. I have never seen truthahngravur this color! I ordered the fried chicken breast with potatoes and green beans. again the plate with engraved a white sawmill type gravur was penetrated. there was so much of the severity...read more

If they like stones cold cookies, this is the place for them. If they like steinkälte kicker, this is the place for them. If they want to replace quality food for the amount of foods, this is the place for them. If they like to see death in the window bench when eating, this is the place for them. You suspected it was the place for you. What happened to this place? It used to be so good. I'll never go again. If I couldn't give him a star, I'd give it. No!

Don't do it – I ask you to skip. I can't taste it or not see the bathroom. How is this place in business? it was so terrible that it became funny.

The place is infested with shrimp, rattled and black form. dreadful eating and service. I will never eat there again! the service is extremely slow and the management seems unconsidered with our complaining and comments. I was told I could eat somewhere else if I don't like it.

This was my second and FINAL time. Service is horrendous: our waitress while pleasant, spoke so quietly that we could barely hear her; her shirt--and the managers as well--was disgusting; it was literally *covered* in oil and food stains. The biggest irony at the Moose is that it is billed as a farm-to-table restaurant; nothing could be further from the truth. Not a single dish had any ingredients that could remotely be considered from a farm ; their claim of down home cooking is misleading to say the least. The food was awful; almost none of it came as advertised. Pintos and chow-chow (a side item) was a cup of pintos with two tiny...read more

The food at this restaurant was surprisingly delicious, made with fresh ingredients. Some people may not appreciate its homemade feel if they are used to processed food. It would be nice to have a few added touches like real butter and maple syrup. It seems a shame to make your own apple butter and serve amazing pancakes, only to top them with corn syrup. Overall, it's a great spot to enjoy a meal and unwind while visiting the farmers market.

Cute name for tourists, but not great place for food quality. BBQ was full of fat and greasy. Hostess was not friendly, just seated us with no words...just pitched menus on table and walked off. 3 stars for our server, who was great. Burgers way too expensive and average quality.

My husband and I decided to visit the farmers market and the Moose Cafe. We used to go to these places when we lived in Greensboro/High Point and always enjoyed them. It had been about 2 years since our last visit, as we had moved near Charlotte. The biscuits and apple butter were delicious, with the apple butter having a Christmas-like taste. I ordered the meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, and steamed cabbage. Unfortunately, the meatloaf was disappointing, tasting like a mystery meat brick with a Vienna Sausage flavor. The mashed potatoes were decent, but the steamed cabbage lacked flavor. The waitress was kind and offered to bring me something else, but I had lost my appetite. My husband had the breakfast with scrambled eggs, grits, and country ham, and said it was okay. Maybe I just picked the wrong dish, but we likely won't be returning.

The food at this restaurant is delicious. I tried the fried chicken, gravy, cornbread, beets, collards, and sweet tea, as well as a fried chicken sandwich. The breading on the sandwich was a bit heavy for my liking, but the fried chicken was still fantastic. I plan on returning to try their breakfast menu. The service was good, and I recommend giving this place a try.

Really good food. Not overly salty.. Definitely recommend.
