Description

Moose Caffe presents a mixed dining experience that has left patrons divided. While the service is consistently praised for its attentiveness and friendliness, the food has faced considerable criticism for its lack of flavor and freshness. Some guests find the menu heavy on salt and processing, while others appreciate the homemade appeal and generous portions, particularly of breakfast items like biscuits with apple butter. Prices are considered steep for the offerings, and various culinary missteps, including poor preparation and a need for more authentic ingredients, may deter repeat visits. Overall, Moose Caffe might appeal to those seeking a casual meal, but improvements are essential to enhance its culinary reputation.

Update closed from Oct 1 Jan 2025 for full remodel. Fantastic. Best breakfast in the Triad. Never disappoints, and if you leave hungry, it's your fault. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20

I went here a lot growing up and sadly it’s not the same. For starters we were give rocks, sorry biscuits, when we were first seated. We were one of few there so maybe that’s why as the second batch wasn’t as hard. The older lady waiting our table made multiple glares over and even made a comment to the people sitting behind us about our 2yo being a bit loud. I understand it can be frustrating for other customers(as it was for us as well) but it’s her job to deal with the people who sit at her tables regardless if it’s a child or a elderly person or a person who has special needs. She also decided to charge us for a child drink, because I gave my 2yo a little out of mine in her sippy cup with out saying anything or even offering to actually bring her a cup of her own drink. Also we noticed other people were referred to as honey and baby but anytime she talked to me it was ma’am (I’m 20btw) The actual food was okay though it came out pretty quick and was hot, it was a bit basic but that’s not a bad thing. They add charge ons for pretty much everything. The shops around the cafe are nice everyone there is friendly and they have some nice stuff you can buy. The older lady on the end has amazing flowers, I recommend stopping by her booth

Great food and a lot too! Great waitress who told us northerners the best way to eat grits. She checked on our drinks and making sure we were good!

Great food and service, but they were short staffed during our visit Sunday after church. But once we were seated, food was great as always. Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible but make sure you choose the right path. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20
