I tried Cafe 45 about a week ago while passing through. I'd heard great things about it so thought I'd give it a shot. The food is home-cooked, made to order. They have a breakfast and lunch menu. Apparently, they are open for dinner one or two nights but I can't vouch for what nights. I ordered a breakfast of eggs, bacon, coffee, and a biscuit. I am a biscuit snob. I only like them if they are fluffy and crisp on the top but soft inside. They knocked it outta the park! Great job!
We have heard good things about the food and there are always cars lined up outside so we decided to give it a try. The food was good, made to order and lots to choose from. My only complaint is they weren't friendly or welcoming at all and there was a lot of drama going on behind the counter. When she brought our food she said nothing, just sat it down and walked away. I would like to try out the breakfast menu. It looks pretty good but don't feel like I'm in a hurry to go back.
Run don't walk to get the best burger in state and maybe the world. I drove from Edenton on a hunch and wow.
The BEST Friday night steak and seafood special was AMAZING. The team worked in complete unison. They were funny and sweet and fun to watch. Well oiled machine! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
