Flounder was blah and boring but the portion was huge. Would have preferred a smaller helping of a tastier filet...cannot help but wonder if the flounder was farm raised. Not as flavorful as I've had at other restaurants. Wife had theCajun blackened shrimp with sausage and fettuccine. Shrimp were small and overcooked. Service was good but the food was sadlynot up to the hype tonight. We'll try again with some different choices.

The portions were quite generous, but nothing really had much flavor. We got a shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were room-temperature, which isdisconcerting. They should be chilled. The cocktail sauce tasted pretty much like ketchup. My wife got the crab-stuffedmushrooms, and they didn't really taste like much. I got the salmon cakes, and they were huge, so plenty to eat, but again,didn't taste like much of anything. Then we got the key lime pie for desert, and what came out was a big wedge of bright greenfoam. It was basically cool whip with fake lime flavoring and coloring. We do want to emphasize that the servers were great,and the atmosphere is nice; it's just the food was bland and a let-down, especially for the price.

Waterman's was recommended to us and we weren't disappointed. When we return to Edenton, we definitely will be enjoying anotherdelicious meal.
