Whether it's a dinner with a friend, a family birthday, or a perfect spot for the duck race Riverside Hideaway is our go to spot. This time we went for early dinner, and they were getting r... read more We went twice, once for lunch which was great and the older waitress was great. We enjoyed the food. This time we went for early dinner, and they were getting ready for a party of 16 5pm. We were at one table and another couple were at another table. There were 2 younger waitress who were fine. We enjoyed the food at the time and we both had different things which were presented nicely and tasted good. But not sure if there was something off in the kitchen but we both got sick after we got home, which was not nice. But I had not had any thing to eat that day so it was not something else that caused it. But I am sure they did not mean to cause any thing wrong. They seem like nice people and after a bit will try them again.

Our party shared some nachos, which were so so, given the lack of cheese and the cold beef topping. It was only to get worse from here. Very disappointing indeed. Ordered chicken fajitas, which were probably the worst I've ever had. Lacked any flavour and there was certainly zero fajita spice added to mix. What's more the tortillas were tiny, stale and tasted like cardboard. My wife had exactly the same meal and she felt the same. It was really a shame, as the restaurant is in a fantastic location.
