Three Wise Monkeys - Colchester

Lovely decor, friendly, helpful staff and great food and reasonable prices. No complaints, we will definitely go again.

We had a great evening at the Three Wise Monkeys. There were 7 of us to eat and then a few people joined us for drinks after. Our waiter (Zack) couldn't have done more for us, very accommodating and friendly. The food was lovely and everyone said how good all their meals were. Would definitely recommend

3 stars but I will be returning. There are 3 levels. Ground Bar First Restaurant Second Events/ Staging This is a great venue with really great vibes in the bar and events areas. I came here with friends for dinner and to go to an event after and the food was great however the service was sub standard. Food Tasty burger with a soft brioche bun and skin on seasoned fries were chefs kiss. Service Took drinks order and they took FOREVER to come out not busy) Mains didn’t come over to check if things were alright we were looking for sauces) and we had to go up to the server after quite a while to ask this ourselves. Desserts ice cream and blonde took more than 20 minutes to come out and we had to again go up to the server to ask where this was and they openly admitted they were prioritising the large group that came in after us and ordered after us. We got to the point where we were very close to cancelling the order and then it came out. The server was a very nice person but service in general was very subpar. I would return and give this another chance as it’s a great multi events establishment.

Our food was amazing the service was excellent. The actual building is nice and relaxing. However, our server Charlie, made the whole experience that much better, so attentive to our needs. He made our visit that much better, of I could take him home with me I would.
