Jacqueline's Tea Room - Colchester

This afternoon, I visited the tea room for the first time with my family, and it was a delightful experience. It was great to find a café/tea room that offers a wide range of gluten-free options—I highly recommend the lemon cake! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place.

I absolutely adore this charming little tea room, especially their excellent gluten-free options. The staff is friendly, and the decor and atmosphere are enchanting, all conveniently located on my street! Their gluten-free scones are the best I’ve had in a long time—worth a visit for that alone. However, I highly recommend trying their high tea as well!

This charming little tea shop offers an authentic 1940s atmosphere that truly captures the era. The wonderful staff were attentive but not overly intrusive. We enjoyed the afternoon high tea, which included two different pots of tea with a small brew timer – a delightful touch! This was our third visit to Colchester, and while there are many tea rooms in the area, none compare to Jacqueline's. The 1940s decor and music add to the experience, and the prices are quite reasonable.

I was in jacqueline a few times and it was nice! Recently my birthday was in a fairytale and it was the perfect place to lunch. the staff was very friendly and happy to recommend to try tees for us and the food was delicious! both of the paints I visited, I had the walisische rarebit and suppe and it was amazing. also had a beautiful piece of lemon and ginger cake, which is now one of my favorite! will definitely book a afternoon tea there

Had the most amazing gluten free sandwich and warm gluten free cream tea!I would definitely recommend this beautiful tea room.Fantastic service and very helpful. I can't wait to visit again soon!
