Harvester Stanway - Colchester

I frequent this restaurant twice a week with friends, and the service is excellent. Mina takes great care of us and often has our coffee ready before we even sit down. She is polite, friendly, and very skilled in her role. The service is top-notch.

We went for lunch and brought our family to the restaurant. The food was excellent and the ambiance and service were perfect for all of us.

The restaurant has a charming, laid-back ambiance. It is family-friendly, with nicely spaced tables that allow for a comfortable dining experience. The food was served promptly and came out piping hot. Overall, it is a great value for the price.

We booked here last minute when let down by a well known Roast dinner provider nearby. We called to request a booking for 15 family members for my daughters 6th birthday, and straight away the gentleman on the phone was polite, friendly and accommodating, booking us in at our requested time straight away. When we arrived, our table wasn't quite ready for us due to a shift change, so our host personally arranged for this to be fixed straight away in super quick time. We were introduced to our server for the evening, Samir, and what a credit to the company he was making sure we all had water, taking our orders at just the right times and all with a smile on his face. He even arranged to bring out the birthday girls dessert with a candle in it for her to blow out without being asked. She was over the moon, and to top it all off, the food was really tasty, well cooked and served promptly. Thank you so much to Samir and the rest of your team for helping to make Our little princess's birthday special.

Arrived and shown to our table, floor disgustingly dirty, ordered drinks and given salad bowls but the server actually had her hand inside the bowl. Salad and rolls okay. Mains arrived but never cleaned empty bowls or glasses off table. Out of the four meals two were okay if you like overcooked fish, the two burger meals were so overcooked dry just awful. Only visited as visited the beehive in Gants Hill all had same meals but completely different standard of service, cleanliness and food. Would I return no Colchester no very poor!
