Fantastic repurposing of the building it 's a pleasure just sitting inside. Outside seating available too. The range of food was really good not your usual 'Sydney Rd ' style of Turkish Restaurant. Different but authentic dishes made this a must visit when in the area. Worth a detour when near Colac. Great service and a good choice of wines, including some excellent local ones. We 'll definitely be back. Service: Din... View all feedback.

We happened upon Babil Oddfellows by chance and were really pleased with our late lunch there. The service was incredibly friendly, and the owner provided excellent recommendations. You must try the signature dishes: manti and lamb beyti, along with the grilled scallops! The sautéed prawns were also fantastic. If you're in the area, be sure to have lunch or dinner here! Price per person: A$20–40. Food: 5/5, Service: 5/5, Atmosphere: 5/5.

Back from a few days at home, we found ourselves in Colac on a rainy day, and we stumbled upon this fantastic Turkish restaurant. The food was delicious, fresh, and affordable. The service was both friendly and efficient. We couldn't believe how lucky we were!
I was truly impressed by the meal I had here. The flavors were spot on, and the atmosphere was wonderful. They offered a wide range of gluten-free options on the menu, and when I mentioned that I have celiac disease, the staff ensured that everything was safe for me. If you find yourself in Colac, I highly recommend giving Babil a try.
I just had a great meal in Colac. Turkish food and the beautiful cook was able to completely care for my food intolerances - gluten-free, no onion and no garlic. He was very careful with it. My meal was delicious. He said with a few hours warning, he can make something special in food requirements. That's quite exciting! It's in a beautiful old building, and I can't rave enough over the food!
The food is fantastic, and the portions are generous. It's conveniently located on the way to the Great Ocean Road. The restaurant is also quite spacious.
Really enjoyed our dining experience at Babil restaurant. Was unsure what to order and luckily saw the banquet option which provided a broad sample of many of the dishes. The price was very fair being not much different to ordering a main and entree. The Saganaki and Blue eye were thoroughly enjoyable.
