There was a very friendly greeting from the chef/waitress and took a seat in the side room The menu was in French but good old google translate worked a treat after a few miscommunications We ordered a few different entrees, all of which were delicious. Especially the shrimp dumplings The service we received was great and even with the language barrier there were attempts made from both sides to understand The main courses were exceptional and very well portioned. I must say it was up there with one of the best sweet and sour prawns I have ever had! We did order the calamari in black bean sauce which in parts was a bit chewy but the flavour was excellent hence the high review If we were to return to cognac this restaurant would definitely be a first choice!
