We had lunch yesterday, and the service was outstanding, albeit understated. Our waitress coughed but still took the time to explain our options thoroughly. The food did not disappoint. My burger, onion rings, and beer were all delicious. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Wyold West Taproom:
The main problem we had is that someones tab got added on to our beer card. Went up to the counter to fix and the waitress said that happens sometimes. Kinda concerning if people dont know that. We almost paid $10-15 on drinks we never drank. The food was decent but the beers are luke warm. The staple of a beer is that it is cold and the glasses arent chilled or anything. It's the best place in the city to enjoy a burger and salad.
This is a lovely and laid-back spot to enjoy a beer and the bar atmosphere. They have an interesting system where you can choose your own beer taps, and the amounts are tracked on a map. I initially thought it would be complicated, but I ended up really appreciating the flexibility it offered. I was able to sample a variety of beers, and after dinner, when I only wanted a half pint, I was able to pour just that. It all worked out great!
This is cool place where you can pour your own beer. Everything besides that is subpar. The service was atrocious. We grant businesses leeway right now due to staffing shortages. However, this place went far beyond that. It took over 20 minutes to get a drink order. It took about 2 hours to get our food. We were enjoying friends so we didn’t let it ruin our evening but it was pretty absurd. The place was an average busy-ness, certainly not so busy to justify the poor service and slow food preparation. The food was alright. The Parmesan truffle fries didn’t have the cheese melted on them so the Parmesan fell right off. The pickle spears were decent but overly greasy for fried pickles. The veggie burger was pretty decent. The Tourist sandwich was good but the presentation wasn’t great. The beer selection was just whatever. Nothing to get excited about. The best and only good part was the sweet potato fries dipping sauce. It was a cinnamon sugar homemade dipping sauce that was phenomenal. This place is extremely expensive and everything is an $1.50+ up charge which seemed very unreasonable for some items. I wouldn’t go back.
Flat Iron Pork Steak...complete meal Wonderful. A real gem for food, but a Noisy place
