The locals eat here so you know you are getting real Italian food, not tourist oriented meals. The restaurant features a bistro at the front with a limited menu and reasonable prices, or a more formal dining room at the back. Both of my meals were in the bistro. Service was quick and friendly. The bistro menu offers sandwiches as well as pastas and meat dishes. Try the frico (fried cheese) with mushrooms. This is a dish that is specific to the Friuli region of Italy. I also had a stuffed pasta dish which was very tasty. Desserts include ice cream and cakes. Lunch for two with main dishes, desserts and coffee came to roughly 25 euros. A lovely place to eat in a very beautiful location. Worth the visit!

We sat outsi... read more We were a little disappointed in the Villa Manin estate itself but decided to try the restaurant which was located in the wing of the stately home. We sat outside overlooking the forecourt of the Villa Manin. We were not hungry and only looking for a drink and sandwich but staff could not have been more helpful. Service was efficient and polite and we settled for Primos which were excellent. Overall price was very reasonable for the location we has expected to pay a lot more.
