One thing I have found is that Dairy Queen seems to have the most variations of sizing between different restaurants. A small cone at one place is really small and at another place seems to have a lot more ice cream. I think the Cochrane DQ is pretty good with the sizes they offer. What User doesn't like about Cochrane Dairy Queen:
We enjoy the occasional Blizzard but I do find them to be expensive compared to some other like minded fast food restaurants. Today my wife and I called in and had no wait as we were the only ones there. Warmly greeted by a more mature member of staff she then proceeded to take our order for a couple of the small blizzards and quickly had them prepared and served. I used to frequent this particular establishment because it was the nearest one to me that offered shakes with plastic straws. Unfortunately, it seems they no longer provide them. Despite my disagreement with the law, they are still permitted to serve them until the end of the year. The alternative straws they now use are of poor quality and negatively affect the taste of the drinks. It would be beneficial for them to continue offering plastic straws through the remaining window of time allowed.
One of the staff accidentally overcharged us approx $20. Although it was a busy drive thru, the manager helped solve the problem while giving us a bonus treat. Great leadership hereFood: 5/5
Was there today to get a remake, unfortunately the remake was not up to a good start as the pop was not full then as they tried to hand me stale fries I returned them, then the front attendant put them on the heating rack to be given to someone else as I already touched them so I’m unsure if they are taught food safety here. But after I got the attention of the lady at the drive thru she quickly tossed them away. The front attendant lady (terrible service on so many levels) continued to give attitude roll her eyes. Overall not a good experience.
Ordered SkipTheDishes tonight from this DQ, really excited to try the new “Cake Batter Cookie Dough” Blizzard. I even ordered two as my mom wanted to try it as well. Couldn’t have been more disappointed when the order came in and both of the blizzards were just regular “cookie dough,” and were rang in that way on the receipt as well. I have never liked chocolate sauce on a blizzard and I would not have ordered regular cookie dough if I had another choice so this mess up was both surprising and disappointing. I wish someone would have called me to ask if I wanted something else instead of just assuming. I don’t usually write Google reviews either, but I’m so frustrated. Either call your clients when items aren’t available or pay more attention to the specifics on orders when ringing them in… I did get a refund from Skip, but I’m really unhappy. I won’t be ordering from this location again for a while.
DQ on 41st Bow Trail SW in Calgary did an amazing job decorating my cake yesterday (June 11).I was sooooo amazed at the bubble style writing they did.Whoever did that deserves a bonus!!!
