By far my favorite café to go too for a business/casual meeting with a client, or a quick walk with the family to grab brunch and a vanilla latte. Their coffee is fresh and always gives me my caffeine buzz I need to start my day. They are family friendly, chalk board and children's toy box tucked in a corner for families. What User doesn't like about Chiang Rai:
Staff very friendly and helpful. Two meals out of four were very good but two were average and not very inviting. Maybe different choices off the menu would have made a difference but bland is an apt description for two of the dishes. The service was average mainly due to the order that the food was presented from the kitchen - serving other tables as well as ours meant not allfood receibved at same time. View all feedback.
The best Pad Thai and Cashew Chicken I’ve had. Outstanding flavour. Prompt service. Reasonably priced. Well worth it.
We love the green chicken curry at this restaurant, but everything we've tried has been delicious. The portions are generous and you can choose to dine in or grab takeout.
We decided to have Thai food for dinner and the Chiang Rai had good reviews on TA so we decided to order Basil stir fry with beef and Panang chicken curry. Both dishes had the right spice level and were very flavourful
During the pandemic, we have been getting takeout from Chiang Rai every other weekend and it is consistently amazing. The food is always delicious and arrives hot. It is the best in Cochrane.
We have been coming to this restaurant for many years. Rarely have we been disappointed in the quality of the food. The woman who runs the restaurant is very nice, quiet by nature -so don't expect a rousing welcome- but always remembers our names even when we have not been in for a while.They will adjust the spiciness of the dishes to your requests whether you like your food mild or very spicy. The prices are comparable to other Thai restaurants and the dishes are generous in size.
