Was Egon Fuhrmann at Acar Grill a mag?
we both ate a falafel. the sweet was cracked fresh, the broth tasty, the sauces did not taste too mayonaise (as unfortunately so often) but were more on yogurt basis. the falafel balls were unfortunately somewhat too dry and tasted us a little too much curry all the time. all in all, but a quite successful falafel. at the next visit in cochem they see us again. What Meike Berndt dislikes about Acar Grill:
This was a stop for lunch after we visited Burg Eltz and were craving kebab. It was not too busy, had a large selection, but only one staff member was working, so it took a very long time to order and get food. Our party of 5 got 4 diner kebab and 1 order of schnitzel with fries. The portions are large, but we waited awhile longer on a new schnitzel plate since there was a fly fried into the top of the original. It w... View all feedback.

Located in the heart of Cochem, at the tail end of where the sightseeing road train stops, is the Kebab/Pizza/Schnitzel serving restaurant, Acar Grill. When we visited the town was packed, but still no one was dining here and all seats were empty, so it was a very risky choice, but we were time limited and hungry. We ordered two pizzas and the hunter's schnitzel, which comes with fries/chips. We spoke German to the staff, so didn't test their multi-lingual abilities, but they were friendly. Our meals were served quickly, the thin based pizzas weren't the best quality, but were generously sized considering their low cost,. The schnitzel was good, served with a tasty sauce, and the fries/thin chips tasted good. In our haste to eat I neglected to check for Wi-Fi, but can report that there are clean toilets for patrons to use, which saves spending 50¢ per person in the town centre. I suspect this restaurant does the bulk of its business at night, for those seeking a late night kebab, but don't be put off by a lack of custom during the day, the sight and smell of our food attracted quite a few customers by the time we left.
This was a stop for lunch after visiting Eltz Castle and eating Kebab. It was not too busy, had a large selection, but only one employee worked, so it took very long to order and get food. Our party...of 5 got 4 Diner Kebab and 1 order from Schinitzel with Fritten. The parts are large, but we waited longer on a new carving plate, as a fly was fried into the top of the original. It wasn't the worst, but I wouldn't return there either. The best Kebab is still in Trier Walkplatz.
As a chef, I was unfortunately disappointed. The staff wasn't particularly friendly, and the food was served cold. The flavors were unbalanced and poorly seasoned.
Super friendly service and the food was delicious and the sauces were simply amazing. The meat was also delicious I highly recommend it.
