We did not order, they asked if we were hungry and then just kept bringing plates....a variety of cold meats, a huge salad, lamb cutlets, cooked sausages, potatoes and bread...then an amazing collection of desserts for us to try. We had beer and red wine, coffees....the lot. Amazing value and a great experience. It might be difficult if you do not speak any Spanish or like cocina casera...but we will definitely go back.

Always go back there.

The restaurant is quite small inside, with only a hand full of tabl... read more We passed this place on our way to Alcoy and decided on our way back, to pop in for a drink. The restaurant is quite small inside, with only a hand full of tables. It is very rustic, with chillies hanging from the ceiling, jugs of local wine on some customers tables and sausages of various descriptions, hanging up in the kitchen. There is a bar at one end and a TV at the other. It seemed a popular place with the locals and the staff spoke virtually no English. We saw 2 men eating huge pork cutlets, with veg. The food also looked rustic but really tasty and in my book that is good. Our drinks were the cheapest of the entire holiday and I therefore suspect that the food would be equally good value, as is mentioned in other reviews. The restaurant is directly opposite a small castle which appears to be under restoration, so you should not be able to miss it. There is parking available opposite the restaurant.
