Mr. Sub - Cobourg

My wife and I attended this restaurant on Canada Day at noon during the parade that marched by. I ordered a Canadian Club Submarine sandwich, and my wife had a meatball sub. We requested they be heated. The subs were placed in a microwave oven for way too long. The result was that the bread was rubbery, the cheese melted well into the wrappers, and the taste was also mangled. Will go back, but mot for a heated sandwich.

A busy corner of town with late nite options . Pizza slice,variety store sandwiches or go get Sandy the new proud owner of Mr Sub to make you a great sub. He works the late shift sometimes and has been a pleasure to talk to and make me a great roast beef sub the way I want . It's still family owned and a cornerstone business in this town . Go get a great sub from Sandy or his wife in the back or any of the friendly staff that have worked ther for years. I do wish they still had sub cards . I usually get 4 subs too so every third trip I saved 10 bucks and would buy some cookies or choc milk for my wife and kids. Mr sub is a ritual to many from young to old .after the bar its perfect carry home.a Nd never get rid of the rib sub again please.

Dropped in to the restaurant, late (>9PM) , this place stays open past 9. Appears to be clean, server was very helpful, and not too rushed (Was very quiet, for a weekday evening). Great Sandwiches and well stocked condiments.

Great subs for lunch dinner or snack. Parking is good with big lot. Prices are not bad but not somewhere to go everyday

Not much of a surprise here - there are two locations: downtown is right across from the police station, so it is relatively normal late nights (unlike other fast food places that have late night hours); the one north by the 401/Hospital is in a plaza that can be challenging to find parking during normal business hours but is fine in the evenings but closes much earlier than downtown. Both locations are just like a regular Mr. Sub or Subway or any other submarine sandwich joint - the downtown location is larger and a bit nicer to sit and eat at. Downtown one is a great spot to grab a sandwich and take it to the park/beach.
