Very busy on a Friday afternoon. Full of elementary school kids. Kids were very loud and disrespectful towards staff working. Felt bad for him. Will not be going back there between 11am and 1pm
The egg salad sandwich tastes like PICKLED EGG sandwich - seriously!I called twice but they aren't answering the phone.I asked for toasted bread then the egg, but they don't toast, they grill. So I got it grilled, and its NOT grilled... just flattened... not at all toasted or even hot.WHY would they put some sort of vinegar or similar ingredient in their egg salad sandwich?They must use Miracle Whip or something like that... too bad they haven't discovered Helman's Mayonaise yet, as it would make for a much more delicious sandwich.*Note, I paid by cash and the bill was $x.03 As I didn't have a nickel, he gave me back the 95 cents in coins rather than chip in the 3 cents. Thanks for the pocket of change.
I stop here at least 3 times a month to pick up subs for the family. Service is prompt and friendly, ingredients fresh and a great selection of sandwiches, soups, baked goods and drinks.
Over a few years, I picked up Subs from this location to Burnham. I found the ingredients were fresh and the subs were very generous. The best signifies my partner and I agree from any place anywhere. I wonder about previous reviews...Egg Salad Grilled??? You checked the wrong place. mold when filling another? I have always found very generous fillings here, there is another location in the city, although I have found to visit school children usually there with the fillings. I found them all over Burhham Street and always polite.
Whenever you are near Cobourg, make sure to stop at this restaurant. I convinced my husband to take a detour off the highway just so I could have Mr.Sub, which has been a staple in my life. I ordered my usual - a roast beef sandwich with extra cheese - but was disappointed to find only three thin slices of beef. There was an abundance of mustard, but not enough roast beef. Despite the friendly and polite staff, I don't plan on stopping at this place again.
